EVEREST REGION (SOLO-KHUMBU)
The most significant component that makes any trekking / climbing expedition successful, pleasurable, interpretative as well as safe is an expert Expedition Trekking Guide / Climbing Guide. Keeping this in mind, Nomadier, has appointed skilled, experienced, courteous and helpful Expedition Trekking Guides / Climbing Guides as well as other support staff to make your expedition experience a satisfactory one.

The Representative
A Nomadier representative will be waiting for your flight to land at Tribhuvan International Airport and welcome you to the beautiful country of Nepal. The representative will help you in transferring you to your hotel and also in the check-in process. A Nomadier representative will hand over your expedition permits and your flight tickets to and from Lukla, if you have booked them through Nomadier, to you in the hotel room itself. The very next day your actual expedition starts and a Nomadier representative will transfer you to the domestic airport in Kathmandu and see you off.

The moment you land at the Lukla airport you will be received by yet another Nomadier representative. The representative will answer all your queries and will introduce you to the Expedition Trekking Guide, other expedition guests (if any) in the Group and the staff of the Expedition.

The representative will also help you with getting airline ticket confirmation for your onward journey to Kathmandu after the completion of your expedition. The representative will be based in Lukla and would be available on his cell phone in case of any emergencies or requirements.

Back in Kathmandu after your successful completion of expedition, starting from receiving you at the domestic airport in Kathmandu till you board your international flight; Nomadier representative will be right with you to make your stay comfortable and hassle – free.

The Expedition Trekking Guide
You would be led by Expedition Trekking Guide who is a local expert (which is our way of supporting eco-tourism) and who knows the terrain really well as is well aware of its culture, traditions, ecosystem, flora fauna, geography, etc. The Expedition Trekking Guide will be able to communicate in English and is well trained to handle first-aid and co-ordinate for any kind of contingencies including medical emergencies and rescue operations. The Expedition Trekking Guide is a certified guide, licensed by Government of Nepal.

The Mountaineering Guide
For the Mountaineering Expeditions, the Climbing Guide will take over the entire charge from the Expedition Trekking Guide to lead the expedition to the Summit from the Base Camp of respective peaks. Climbing Guide is also a certified Mountaineering Guide, registered with Nepal Mountaineering Association and licensed by Government of Nepal.

The Support Staff
There will be a 2nd Assistant Trekking Guide to the Expedition Trekking Guide for a group size between 5 - 12 persons.

For every 2 guests, we will have one dedicated porter just to carry your luggage.

Though often overlooked, it’s no exaggeration to say the entire trekking and mountaineering industry in Nepal is built on the back of hard working local porters. It is their tireless efforts carrying supplies, equipment and baggage that make journeying to these remote areas possible, so it’s very unfortunate that they have endured a history of exploitation and abuse at the hands of the industry. In an effort to combat this, we are firmly committed to porter rights. We ensure all our porters are well treated, well paid, well insured and we provide the level of shelter, clothing and footwear that these harsh environments demand. Porters who become sick are treated with the same care and attention as other team members. And for the porter’s sake we require that all trekkers keep their luggage bag weight between 15 to 20 Kilos only.

For Mountaineering Expeditions we will have more porters to carry your tents, mountaineering equipments and other necessary camping and boarding items. For Mountaineering Expeditions a cook will also accompany the Group.
